Sunday carvery

Would have loved to stay over but unfortunately, could only get one day off work so decided to book a table for Sunday lunch.
Got there early so had a pre lunch drink on the outside patio area, lovely.
All staff were friendly and the restaurant staff in particular were very attentive, good to see so many staff in the restaurant.
We plumped for the carvery, you get a choice of two meats from the available three, there was roast beef, roast pork with crackling to die for and roast turkey. The meat is carved and served on your plate then you add as many vegetables as you like, there was roast potatoes, roasted carrots and parsnips, a fennel, cabbage and French bean medley, red cabbage in red wine, roasted Mediterranean veg and cauliflower cheese and gravy. All were scrummy, I polished off the whole lot washed down with a glass of Malbec, recommend by one of the waiters.
There was a choice of deserts and my wife and I settled for the Belgian chocolate cheese cake with a side of fruit compote.
Have to say, the food was delicious, the service very good and the cost reasonable. One course was £10.95 two courses for £14.95 and considering that a Sunday carvery at Toby is now over £11 it’s really competitive.
All in all, a lovely lunch, well done to all the staff.
