The perfect match: A duo of awards success for the Norfolk Royale Hotel

Here at the Norfolk Royale Hotel, we are delighted to be celebrating success in two local awards for excellence in Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole.
Destination Awards – Large Hotel of the Year
We are delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the Destination Awards in the Large Hotel of the Year category.  These awards celebrate true excellence in businesses that help to make Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole a great place to visit, live and work.
After completing our entry and being shortlisted by the judges, we were then visited by a mystery guest to gain first-hand experience of the guest experience that we offer at our hotel in Bournemouth. Excellence in customer service and the family-feel of our hotel are so important to us, so we invest in regular mystery shops ourselves to ensure we are delivering the best possible experience for our guests. We are thrilled to have wowed the judges enough during their mystery stay that we have been selected as a Finalist in our category.
The Destination Awards culminate in an awards ceremony and dinner at the BIC on 19th March 2020 where they will announce gold, silver and bronze winners in each category. We will be going for gold and hoping to celebrate being selected as the winner of the Large Hotel of the Year category.
BHStars – Accommodation: Large Hotel Award
The BHStars awards recognise and celebrate the BH region’s best-loved tourism, hospitality, and retail businesses and we are delighted to have been selected as a semi-finalist in the Accommodation: Large Hotel category.
Over 200 local businesses and independent companies from across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch gathered at Hoburne Park in Christchurch to find out if they had been successful in the first round of judging. We were pleased to have made the shortlist after impressing the judges with our entry. A staggering number of entries were submitted across the categories available, demonstrating how vibrant our local tourism industry is.
The winners of the BHStars will be revealed at a prestigious black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Lighthouse, Poole on 29th March 2020. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will be crowned winner of the Large Hotel of the Year award.
It could be a star-studded end to March for the Norfolk Royale Hotel so watch this space.
Whatever awards recognition we receive, it will be a testament to the hard work of everyone in our team – from the front of house reception staff who welcome our guests to the kitchen team that serves our delicious meals and Sunday Carvery and the housekeeping team that keep our bedrooms looking inviting and front doors gleaming. We put our guests first.

“Just had a lovely weekend in this hotel for the fifth year running. The staff here are always happy and willing to help in any way they can. We’ll be back again next January, if not before.” Trip Advisor, January 2020
