My daughter booked this hotel for champagne afternoon tea as we had been some years ago and knew it was good. We arrived and were given a choice of tables with very comfortable chairs. Our dog was quickly offered water and though I had a bowl with me she was presented with a proper dog bowl and made to feel welcome - this is a truly dog friendly hotel. Our tea was delicious with scones, sandwiches and cakes and very filling. We had a choice of tea or coffee and relaxed for nearly two hours. As we left I was pleased to see the hotel deservedly filling up with weekend guests.
